Laura Joyal
President
A resident since 2017, Laura and her husband Dan have one daughter. Laura works at Walker Therapeutic and Educational Programs as the Director of Events and Educational Programs. In her free time, she enjoys running and spending time with friends and family.
Amanda Merson
Secretary
Amanda and her husband, David moved to Norfolk in 2016 and have one daughter, Mirabella. Amanda works at Trinity Life Sciences as the Associate Director of Contracts and teaches various fitness classes at LA Fitness. In her free time, she enjoys being with her family and friends and meeting new people during long walks around town.
Kendra Bixby
Committee Chair
A resident since 2009 Kendra and her husband Jeff have twin boys, Flynn and Cam, and one sassy lab Lucy. She is excited to be the NCL Committee Chair. Kendra will be chairing Haunted Car Crawl, Winter Artisan & Craft Festival as well as our Annual NCL 5k Fun Run! In her spare time she enjoys traveling, baking, and going out with friends. She has been active with the NCL for 5 years and loves the friendships she’s made and making a difference in the community!
Devon Cordell
Membership
A resident since 2013, Devon and her husband Eric have two beautiful daughters and two dogs. Devon is employed by Commonwealth Financial Network as a Manager of RIA Services and spends her weekdays consulting with financial advisors moving to the firm to make their transition as smooth as possible. She and her husband are passionate about music and singing.
Stacey Wilson-Bridgemohan
Hospitality
My husband Jason and I with our 3 boys, moved to Norfolk 3 weeks into lockdown of the 2020 Pandemic! Unable to meet any neighbors I joined all the social media and online groups of Norfolk I could find. We fell in love with our new hometown and can’t wait to be able to really get to know our town and neighbors! I am a professional Cake Designer and Baker and love bringing cake ideas to life! Did I mention I love to host? Lol yup I do!
Jenn Sekula
Fundraising & Webmaster
Jenn moved to Norfolk in 2021 with her husband Matt and family. She's mom to son Wyatt, stepmom to daughters Vela and Santi and dog mom to Nalla. Jenn works for Liberty Mutual Insurance and is excited to be involved in the Norfolk Community and serve on the NCL Board! She enjoys all things Summer, hosting events, a good yoga or barre class and being with family and friends.
Sherry Carter
Family Based
A Norfolk resident since 2019, I moved here to be close to family and spend time with my grandchildren. I also enjoy spending time with the wonderful friends I've made and trying new adventures with them. Being retired, I'm able to become more involved in the community

A resident since 2017, Sarah and her husband Kris have two daughters and a Golden Doodle. Sarah has been an active volunteer in numerous community activities since her family moved to town. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys cooking, spending time with friends and family and gardening.

Kimberly moved to Norfolk in 2016 with her husband Brian, two sons Henry (6) and Joseph (4) and their dog Daisy. She enjoys cooking for her family and friends, running, skiing and meeting up with her NCL book club!
Megan McHugh
Family Based
Megan spent most of her childhood living in Norfolk, and returned in 2016 to raise a family. She and her husband, Bill, have two children: Ellie (6), and Liam (4). Megan works at Harvard University as an HR Administrator in a large biology department. When she's not taking care of her kids or shuttling them to dance and sports, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, wine, running (or almost any workout), selling Park Lane jewelry, and having fun
